You start your day visiting the most important archaeological site on Crete and the second most visited archaeological site of the country, the Minoan palace of Knossos, the mythical Labyrinth of Hommer.

A walking tour in the old, historic part of the town of Heraklion will follow. You will visit all important historic monuments from the Venetian and Ottoman period, such as the Venetian Fountain of Morosini, the Basilica of St. Mark, the Venetian Loggia, the Church of Apostle Titos, the Venetian fortress of “Koule” etc. A walk inside the town’s open-air market will make your senses awaken with its different and various smells, colors and sounds!

A traditional meal in one of the town’s “mezedopolia” (traditional restaurant serving local delicacies) will give you the chance to experience the Cretan cuisine in one of the places where the locals would go for a meal.
Afternoon Interactive Art Session: The ancient Greek Music in theory and practice
In private studio you will enjoy a two hours session on the ancient Greek Music in theory and practice. Theory is focusing on the ancient Greek musical instruments, musical forms, ancient Greek modes and moods, the harmony of the spheres and the ancient Greek musical notation. During the experiential part of the lab you will experience a coordinated interactive attempt on playing ourselves copies of ancient Greek percussion musical instruments.
